What sort of designer are you?
That's one of the many open-ended questions I've received but yeah, to put it simply, I'm a designer with no genre. I work on my art & designs based on what I feel and if I like what I see. My creative aim is to please myself before pleasing anyone else; and that comes from the mentality that if I can't love what I create, how can I expect anyone else to do the same.
Who designed your blog?
I did. I've always had this lil' geeky side of me which loves HTML and I enjoy learning & crafting items to make my blog more interesting, more ME. I especially love modifying existing blogskins to make them look better, cleaner & more chic.
What's your nationality?
I get this question a lot due to my lacking in the Asian-language department. I'm Malaysian and yes, I'm Chinese, born & bred here but without the Chinese language hard-wired into my brain. I can catch a word or two in a couple of dialects but other than that, nada. I speak purely in English most of my life, but my Malay language is still pretty good despite my lack of practice.
Are all the food featured on your blog really made by you?
Yes they are. Everything under the kitchen adventures category is made solely by me. The recipes I used for all of them are modified & combined recipes from my extensive online research. (Yes, I do my research before I make anything to avoid any flavor-explosions in the kitchen)
What kind of advertorial write-ups do you accept?
Basically almost anything, I'm all for trying new things. However, I'd usually prefer trying out products before I do a write-up, I have turned down advertorials which require me to write based on a press kit/media release. Can't expect an honest opinion when I'm just referring to your 'ideal opinion' of the product right? I'm all for honesty, especially when it comes to my blog. What I say to the world means a lot to me.
I'm an advertiser, can I purchase an ad-space on your blog?
If you noticed, I do NOT have any ad-spaces on my blog. I hate blogs that are chock-full of adverts on the sidebar - I find it aesthetically displeasing to the eyes. So the answer's no. The only form of advertising I do are write-ups, so do get in touch via e-mail.
Do you do freelance designs?
Yes I do, but only if it doesn't involve pink unicorns, sparkles & Justin Bieber.
Will you design my tattoo?
I had done one for a friend's client in the past, and I design my own tattoos, so yes I will consider it if you ask nicely.
